If your job requires it, take a certification test to prove and show your English ability. They are Practical English Proficiency Test, United Nations English Proficiency Test, TOEIC, TOEFL, etc. As for how to study, I will repeat what I have already said, but please make it a habit to listen to English broadcasts on the radio or TV, read English newspapers, and use English newspapers on the Internet, and continue your efforts to increase your time and further improve your English skills. If you commute by train, you can use your commuting time for listening. When I was in my twenties, I worked for a company and used a total of about one hour and thirty minutes of commuting time to and from work to improve my listening skill. At that time, portable tape recorders were barely available, and I used up several tape recorders until they broke.

Language skills, like muscle strength, degenerate if not used. The amount of natural degeneration can only be supplemented by daily study, and this will continue throughout your life.

I think you need to reform yourself to the extent that you switch your work reports to English, or at least your monthly reports to English. If your work has nothing to do with English and you think it is useless, please continue to practice writing, speaking, reading, and listening in English in your private life as described earlier. I hope that someday you will get a chance to demonstrate your abilities and be recognized on certain a day, place, or job.

However, there will be days, weeks, and months when you have to stop learning due to circumstances or a slump, and that can’t be helped. It's okay to take a break. There is no need to push yourself at all. The important thing is to stay motivated and determined to make a comeback.

How to use a dictionary: Nowadays, there are convenient electronic dictionaries that you can use on your computer or mobile device. They are fast, easy and convenient to use, as you can specify a range of unknown words and press the key to see the meaning and spelling. Use these to your advantage. Surprisingly, I have seen a Canadian who can read Japanese to a certain extent, but can barely write, do a fair amount of translation work thanks to these electronic dictionaries and word processors. Times are definitely changing.
