In the fourth and final part of this section, I will continue to look at social changes related to self-reliance.

6) Lifetime employment / seniority system → Annual salary system / ability / qualification principle

It is clear that huge organizations based on lifetime employment and seniority had become the driving force for Japan as a whole. And it made a big financial contribution. However, it was an effective system when the industry was underdeveloped, in an era of goods shortages, and when there was a common goal of catching up and overtaking Europe and the United States.

Production will peak when goods and services are fully distributed. In a mature society where production is declining, lifetime employment and seniority system will cause lower productivity and inefficiency. In other words, there will be some employees who do not work for their wages and their existence can’t be recognized in huge organizations. Today, large corporations facing difficulties are suffering from such large enterprise illnesses. This disease needs treatment. They have to subdivide their organizations to remove the inefficiencies. It's natural the companies must not pay employees who don't work.

After removing the inefficient parts, it is necessary to further adopt the annual salary system, ability and qualification principle. And all the information on employees and salaries should be disclosed. The company should clarify the reasons why a certain person is a manager and why his/her annual salary is XX million yen. Unless these kinds of information are disclosed, the annual salary system, ability and qualification principle are all meaningless.

7) Work given → Work to be created

It is one ability to successfully perform a given job. Those who create jobs, do them successfully, and make a profit are more capable. Some people may find it impossible because they are working in large companies. In such cases, they should subdivide the organizations. It is worth tying it

In a small business, you have to create a job, carry out that job, and make more profits by yourself. It is directly connected to life and death problem. The ability to create work is the most important quality.

So how do we create new jobs? It's not easy, but if you have one core essential mighty or ability, you can create many variations and jobs making use of it. For example, if English is the core, the work may be learning guidance (individuals, groups, children, adults, women only, men only, for the elderly, etc.), translation / interpretation (in the fields of electricity, machinery, biotechnology, etc. and dispatch to, business trip to other companies, etc.). If these are combined with IT technology capabilities, the number of jobs will quickly increase several times. With the addition of constant self-reform and new abilities, the work will become unique and the number will increase steadily.
