A few years have passed since we asked for the cooperation of the facsimile machine manufacturers that we want to build in Setsuden-mushi as a component for which we have carried out modularization research and development. However, as of July 2005, there is no bright outlook. Especially because the standby electricity consumption level has been reduced to 0.5 watt hours thanks to the efforts by the manufacturing company for household facsimile machines with telephones. However, I guess that many large facsimile machines for business use, home-use facsimile machines with telephones are in use, and that the United States with little interest in energy consumption has many facsimile machines and copy machines that still need savings.

I would like to show the results of a survey of electric power consumption while standing-by for household electric appliances as data and the significance of existence of Setsuden-mushi to request cooperation for building in Setsuden-mushi.

The table below shows the results of the standby electricity consumption survey for home appliances announced by the Energy Conservation Center (August 2, 2000) and the amount of savings that can be saved based on that data in Japan.
